Born to an African mother and Australian father, Grunwald grew up listening to classic bluesmen like Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and then later BB King, James Brown and Jimi Hendrix. This melting pot of blues and soul provided inspiration for what would become his signature eclectic style.
Mucking around busking in his teens, Grunwald formed group The Blue Grunwalds and released the album Groove Cafe. Once he'd found his feet a little more firmly in the music scene he started the trio Groove Catalysts in 2001. While both these groups brought success Grunwald was drawn to the solo acoustic side of things.
In 2002 Grunwald released his first solo album Introducing Ash Grunwald and took out that year's Melbourne Blues Performer of the Year. This prompted the follow up record I Don't Believe (2004).
Despite some commercial success both here and abroad, including reaching the finals in Memphis' International Blues Competition, feedback received about his two albums intoned that they hadn't really captured the raw energy of his live shows. In response, Grunwald released Live at the Corner (2005) and met with wide acclaim, taking out Album of the Year at the Australian Blues Awards.

What better way to spend a winter’s Sunday afternoon than wining and dining your way around some of the best wineries in northern & southern part of the Margaret River Wine Region. Take the time to indulge yourself with friends or family at the Capes Long Lunch. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine at wineries with an extra glass at your favourite, try two taste plates from a menu to make your mouth drool, and a dessert - all at a pace of your own, and without having to drive!

This year there are TWO Capes Long Lunches:
• Northern Cape - In the Busselton / Dunsborough / Yallingup area on Sunday 31st August. The itinerary includes Happs, Windmills Break (hosting Forester Estate wines), Rivendell wines and Winery Restaurant; The Growers and Amberley Estate.

•Southern Cape - In the Margaret River / Cowaramup area on Sunday 14th September. The itinerary includes Brookwood, Adinfern, Cowaramup Brewery, Juniper Estate and Bettenay Wines.

Both events will follow the same format: • Jump on a bus with your friends and through the day we'll visit 5 venues specially chosen for their warm friendly welcome. You'll have a chance to meet the owners, taste 4 or so of their favourite wines, enjoy a glass of your preferred wine, enjoy delicious food nibbles and discover some of the nicest things about the smaller, less commercial 'treasures' of the area. It's the Personal Touch' that makes a difference. Priced at only $110 per ticket this is great value!

Pickup times and locations will be confirmed when we mail out your bus pass.

There are only 200 tickets to each event! Once you book, we'll send out your bus passes to the postal address you nominate. Your food and drink vouchers will be handed out on the bus. This year, your ticket price includes three food vouchers and 5 drink vouchers. The event runs for 5 hours (about 50 minutes at each venue), 11:00am - 4:00pm.

Tips - rug up, don't eat too much brekky and come along and make some new friends - they're waiting to meet you.

Admission to Your Local Wedding Expo is only $5 per person, which includes wedding magazines, special offers and much more valued at over $30. Every attendee will have a chance at winning many great door prizes on the day. There will be two separate entry barrels – one for the bridal couple from which we will draw several wedding prizes – and the other for all general attendees which we will draw general door prices.
